Virtually anyone
seeking information from a given group of people
faces this dilemma: as one asks for more
information, potential participants become more
reluctant to provide all the information. Such
reluctance is as likely to be on the basis of
time and trouble as on grounds of sensitivity.
Factorial surveys,
however, permit researchers to sample
different combinations
of information from different respondents, thus
allowing different respondents to contribute
data to a subset of the full survey. To date,
existing factorial survey software does not
allow a researcher naive to programming to
design a survey and sampling protocol, and
gather data (via internet) under the same
umbrella.
However,
FESA is
the
software that allows you to do exactly this. It
is an extremely easy to use software that helps
you create surveys (both factorial Surveys and
non factorial Surveys) in just minutes ! The
link to this survey can then be distributed by
using the in-built e-mail program. Once the
respondents take up the survey, the data is
collected in the database. The analyzer of the
survey can request for a report to be e-mailed
to him. The report can be exported into SAS /
SPSS for further analysis.
Features
:
-
Create users with
roles - FESA allows you to create
users. Users can have any one or combination
of the following roles : Administrators,
Designers, Publishers, Analyzers.
-
Create groups and
group users - FESA gives the
option of creating groups and their
respective users. This permits each group to
design, publish, analyze its own surveys.
For Example : Group A - deals with surveys
related to "Human Psychology" , Group B -
deals with surveys related to "Animal
Psychology". The group users can have one or
more of the above roles (Administrator,
designer, publisher, analyzer).
-
Design Surveys
- A designer of the survey can design
(create) factorial and non - factorial
surveys.
-
Publish Surveys
- Publishing surveys requires a user with a
'publisher' role to specify the start date ,
end date of the surveys and e-mail the
survey link to the recipients.
-
Analyze Surveys
- An analyzer can request for the survey
report and export the report into SAS / SPSS.
